Biography
Born in Libau, Courland Province [2] , German by birth, mother - midwife, father - judge. In his teens, he moved with his family to St. Petersburg , where he graduated from the Real School and one course of Agricultural Courses. Since 1912 in the tsarist army. He graduated from the school of ensigns. Member of the First World War . The last rank in the tsarist army is the second lieutenant . He was twice wounded and shell-shocked. Member of the AKP since 1908 . Actively participated in district elections to the Constituent Assembly . He did not enter the AUCPB in the post-revolutionary time, remaining non-partisan.
Married in 1921 . The father of two sons - Igor and Eugene.
Since 1919 in the Red Army . In 1921 he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner , being the acting commander of the 80th Rifle Regiment. In 1922 he became commander of the 7th Infantry Regiment, a year later the commander of the 3rd Kazan Infantry Division .
From 1924 to 1929 - commander of the 24th Iron Division .
In 1925 he graduated from the Higher Attestation Commission at the Military Academy of Frunze . In 1929 - repeated VAK .
In the summer of 1929, together with the commander of the 1st Rifle Corps M.V. Kalmykov , the commander of the Belarusian Military District A.I. Egorov and other Soviet military, he was sent for several months to Germany to observe the teachings of the Reichswehr , where he personally met with Colonel General Wilhelm Heye
From 1930 to 1935 - commander of the 57th Rifle Division (Ural) . In 1933 he was awarded the Order of the Red Star . The division commander received the title on November 26, 1935 (order No. 2494).
In 1935 he took command of the 52nd Infantry Division with deployment in the Yaroslavl region.
Since February 1937 he was sent to Moscow at the disposal of the Office for the Nachsostav of the Red Army .
Repression
Arrested on July 11, 1937 on suspicion of involvement in a military conspiracy and espionage activities in favor of Germany . On October 4, 1938, he was convicted by a visiting court of the Supreme Court of the Armed Forces under Art. 58-1b, 11. The surname of Danenberg is included in the Stalin shooting lists on September 12, 1938 . Shot on the day of the trial in Selifontovo, Yaroslavl region . In 1942, the eldest son Igor was sent to the Perm Territory , where he was under the supervision of the commandant’s office as a person of German nationality . The youngest son, Eugene, escaped the fate of his brother because of his age.
October 3, 1957 Danenberg E. E. rehabilitated posthumously.
