Tina Lifford ( born Tina Lifford ) is an American actress and playwright. She gained fame for her leading role in the short-lived, but well-received by critics, Fox series "Southern Los Angeles" (1994) ^[1] ^[2] ^[3] ^[4] ^[5] . Lifford subsequently starred in a number of television films, including significant roles in the history of women, including Vinnie Mandela in " Mandela and de Clerk " and Jackie Joyner-Kersey in "Running for a Dream: The Story of Gail Divers" ^[6] .

Biography and career

Lifford began her career in the 1980s with small roles in the television series Blues Hill Street , Kagney and Lacy and She wrote the murder . From 1983 to 1988, she had a minor role in Quiet Pier . In addition to South Central , Lifford also starred in the short-lived NBC Crisis Center series in 1997. ^[7] In total, she appeared in more than fifty television shows, including The Touch of an Angel , New York Police , Navy Police: Special Unit , Ambulance , and Body Parts . Lifford also had occasional roles in Family Law (1999-2001), CSI: Crime Scene (2004-2005), Lincoln Heights (2007-2009), Parents (2010-2015), and Scandal "(2015).

On the big screen, Lifford played supporting roles in several films, including Colors (1988), Paris Trout (1991), Grand Canyon (1991), Letters of a Killer (1998), and Pay to Another (2000). ), “Cool Joe” (2001), “ Bloody Work ” (2002), “ Hostage ” (2005) and “ City Legends 3: Bloody Mary ” (2005).

In 2016, Lifford began acting in the series Oprah Winfrey Network “ Queen of Sugar Plantations ” produced by Ava Duverney and Oprah Winfrey ^[8] .
