Family Residences
Initially, the residence was the castle of Ravensworth in Gateshead and Tyne and Weir . This magnificent house was almost completely destroyed in the 1920s due to subsidence of the soil caused by its own family coal mines, the profits from which went to its construction. The castle stables, which were in poor condition, were presented after restoration in the BBC television program in 2003 .
At present, the family nest is Eslington Park in the vicinity of Alnica in Northumberland County.
