Constellations

Constellations are a pseudoscientific method of helping people or organizations through the so-called reading and changing of information in the information field. A method at the intersection of psychotherapy , spiritual practice and philosophy . The founder of the method is Bert Hellinger , although B. Hellinger himself did not name the author.

Since 2007, systemic constellations in 2007 have been recognized by the All-Russian Professional Psychotherapeutic League (OPCL) by the method of psychotherapy and counseling [1] .

Constellator Day in Russia - September 12.

Content

Applications

The method is used to solve problems in various fields:

- crisis situations;

- relations with family and friends;

- health;

- relations of man and woman;

- money and work;

- its place in life and mission and other areas.

Also, constellations can be used to solve the problems of choice: investment, marketing, financial: where to invest money, where to advertise, what price to put on the goods, etc.

Description

The arrangement can last from a few seconds to several hours, but most often it takes 1-1.5 hours.

Each arrangement is unique. But the frequent scenario of group placement can be described as follows. From the group, one participant (client) sits down to the constellator and talks about his problem. At this time, the constellator conducts a conversation and tunes in to the client. Further, the client determines the important elements from the problem situation and selects the deputies from the group members whom he sets in the field. Deputies listen to their feelings here and now from the general information field and the lineup begins. Deputies move according to the movement coming from the field, and also report information about what is happening to them. At this point, the client story layer appears. This information is processed by the client with the help of a constellator. Pronounced "resolving phrases" (phrases that help solve a problem situation, as well as changing the connection with members of the system and past history). The placement is completed.

Schematically, the arrangement can be described as follows:

- Conversation and attunement of the constellator, client and group;

- exhibiting figures "substitutes" or objects;

- movement of figures;

- “permissive” phrases and actions;

- completion of the arrangement.

In individual constellations, where there are no group members as alternates, the figures are exhibited by objects or in the imagination. The rest repeats the scenario of group constellation work.

Method History

The constellations were widespread thanks to Bert Hellinger, who combined several areas of psychological counseling and developed a new method based on them. Directions that were used to establish the method of constellations:

- Analysis of life scenarios (script analysis) by Eric Berne ,

- Primary therapy of Arthur Yanov ,

- Family psychotherapy ,

- Psychodrama by Jacob Moreno ,

- Family Sculpture and Virginia Satyr Family Renovation,

- Group dynamics Kurt Levin ,

- Conceptual therapy and principles of systemic balancing (give-take) of Ivan Buzormeni-Nadia,

- Hypnotherapy of Milton Erickson ,

- Provocative therapy by Frank Farrelli .

- Short-term solution-oriented therapy (Millouk model) Steve de Schazer and Inzu Kim Berg.

Criticism

Constellations receive both positive reviews [3] [4] from participants and specialists in related therapeutic sciences, as well as cautious [5] , and negative [6] [7] ratings.

More recently, in the Internet space, there were active discussions about the dangers of constellations [8] [9] [10] and ranking the method as sect [11] [12] .

Also, during the period of active spread of constellations in Russia, opinions were expressed that constellations are contrary to Orthodoxy [13] [14] [15] .
