Sign of the Loewensjolds
The first novel of the trilogy is dedicated to the history of the Leuvenskjold cursed ring and the misfortunes that the ring brought to its owners. The famous General Lövenscjold received a gold with a cornelian , a very valuable ring from King Charles XII as a reward for faithful service. After the death of the general, according to the will, the ring was placed with him in the grave, but a few years later the peasants Bord Bordsson and his wife, seizing the moment when the crypt was open, stole the ring. The next seven years, the peasant pursued misfortune - the manor burned down, the cattle fell, and the wife, after all, rushed into the lake.
After Borda’s death, the ring was captured by his son Ingilbert, but after only a few days the young man was found dead in the forest, and the ring disappeared. Three travelers who found the body were executed on charges of murder. The ill-fated ring is again discovered thirty years later in the things of one of those executed, and the finders decide to return it to Baron Adrian Lowensjöld. Since then, misfortune begins in the manor of Leuvenskjolds - the inhabitants are convinced that the ghost of the old general lives in the house, and the young baron is seriously ill. Only when the housekeeper Malvina Spaak, in love with young Leuvensjold, realizes that the ring is returned to the general’s grave, does the curse cease to act, does Hadrian’s illness recede and peace reigns again.
Charlotte Lowenskjold
The second novel of the Leuvensjoldy trilogy tells about the descendants of Baron Adrian, in particular, Carl-Arthur Ehenstede, who on the one hand shows extraordinary talents of the preacher and leader for the community, on the other hand, performs unsightly actions, yielding to skillful manipulations and not having the strength to resist them because of their own selfishness. The main character, Charlotte Lowenskjold, being the bride of the “cursed” heir, does everything possible and impossible to help her fiancee get out of the web of lies, but is defeated. The curse does not apply to her, and she soon finds happiness in marriage with a worthy person.
Anna Sverd
In the third novel of the Loewensjolds Ring trilogy, Carl-Arthur, not wanting to give in to his parents and breaking off with them, marries Anna Sverd. The young wife hopes for a separate pastor's estate with a maid in the house and a large farm. What was her disappointment when she saw a little house consisting of a room and a kitchen, and found out that she would have to cook, heat the stove and do everything else around the house herself. All hopes are crumbling in a flash. Unhappy, distantly, the applique immediately realizes that in this house she has the role of a servant. She comes to despair, not finding understanding and love from Carl-Arthur, and only her strong, hardworking nature helps her withstand the test ...
