Dovganuk, Vadim Vladimirovich

Vadim Vladimir Dovganiuk ( Ukrainian: Vadim Volodimirovich Dovganiuk ; born January 15, 1987 , Volochisk , Khmelnytsky region , Ukraine ) is a Ukrainian powerlifter in the 105 kg weight category. Vadim is the 11-time world champion in powerlifting, the champion of the 2013 World Powerlifting Games . Personal records: squats - 410 kg, bench press - 335.5 kg, deadlift - 325 kg and in total - 1050.5 kg.

Biography

Vadim was born on January 15, 1987 in Volochisk, Khmelnitsky region, USSR. In 2004, he graduated from Volochisk School of Public Education 1-3 st., No. 5. In 2011, he graduated from Kamenetz-Podolsk National University named after Ivan Ogienko with a degree in physical education and sports.

Vadim began powerlifting at the age of 15, in a small gym, which belongs to the Volochisk Machine-Building Plant of Motor Sich JSC. Thanks to MotorSich JSC, in 2004, Vadim went to the first Championship which was held in Pretoria ( South Africa ) and became the World Champion for the first time. After these competitions there were 10 more world championships, at which Vadim stood on the highest step of the podium. At the age of 17 he fulfilled the standard of the master of sports of Ukraine. At the age of 19, he fulfilled the standard of an international class master of sports of Ukraine. In 2011, he was in the main team of Ukraine. In 2012, at the World Championships in Puerto Rico, he received a license to participate in the most qualified powerlifting competitions - the World Games , which were held in Colombia in 2013. On them, Vadim became the Champion and set 2 world records for the bench press [1] [2] . After this victory in 2013 he received the highest sports title - “ Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine ” and the state award of the Order of Merit of the III degree [3] .

Personal life

In 2008, he married Inna Nikolaevna Dovganuk. In 2009, they had a son, Ivan.
