The interaction of the player with the game can be divided into two stages. The player spends part of the time in the ship editor, making up a suitable structure from the building blocks, part - controlling the created ship and checking it in combat conditions.

The player’s ship, like the entire environment in the game, consists of various building blocks connected to each other. Each of the blocks has its own purpose and its own set of parameters. For example, the armor gives the ship mass and protects against damage, accelerators allow the ship to move in a certain direction, the storage makes it possible to accumulate resources on the ship, the generator generates the energy necessary for the operation of various weapons systems. Several fractions are available in the game, each of which has its own unique blocks, and, accordingly, also its own ship design and specific battle tactics.

Development in the game is limited by the amount of resources obtained by the player. Resources in the game are obtained in three ways: from plants inhabiting asteroids, from destroyed enemy ships and are generated by solar panels, which are not available to all factions. Allied ships that make up the player’s fleet are created directly from resources (R); resources can also be exchanged for loans (C), allowing you to open new building blocks and increase the maximum available ship size (P).

The game features several fractions:

-Earths;

- farmers;

-Red;

-Guards;

The development of the game, its author, Arthur Denskin ( born Arthur Danskin ), began at the end of 2012, working at that time at Nvidia . To continue working on the game, Arthur left Nvidia and founded Anisoptera Games in early 2013.

One of the first versions of the game was presented at the PAX Prime conference at the end of 2014 [6] , after which the Kickstarter campaign was launched and successfully completed. The release of the game on Steam took place in February 2015. [one]

The LEGO constructor and games such as Captain Forever, Space Pirates and Zombies and Escape Velocity served as the basis for the block system used in Reassembly. The sources of inspiration for creating the game world and the artificial intelligence system were both nature in general, and, in particular, books on the behavior of ants . [7]

The music for the game was written by Peter Brown, better known under the pseudonym Peaks. [8]
