The Second Tunling Bridge ( whale. 铜陵 长江 公 铁 大桥 ) is a combined bridge crossing crossing the Yangtze River , located in the urban districts of Wuhu and Tunling ; the longest cable-stayed automobile-railway bridge in the world in terms of the main span; 18th longest cable-stayed bridge in the world (12th in China). It is part of the S32 Xuancheng - Tongling expressway ( Xuantong Expressway ), Hefei - Fuzhou and Nanjing - Wuhu high speed railways.

Feature
The bridge connects the northern and southern banks of the Yangtze River, respectively, the Uwei district of the Wuhu city district and the Tongling district of the Tongling city district.
The length of the bridge is 16,719 m, including the bridge of 1 290 m. The bridge is represented by a two-tiered two-pylon [1] cable-stayed bridge section over the Yangtze River with a main span of 630 m, in the north with a beam construction, the bridge above the channel is replaced by two bridges approaches (overpasses) on both sides. The upper tier of the cable-stayed bridge is automobile, the lower - railway; bridge approaches are represented by a pair of overpasses for various vehicles. The span structures of the lower tier of the cable-stayed bridge above the river are made in the form of lattice structures: trusses . Additional spans of the bridge are two at 240 m and two at 90 m. The height of the main tower piers is 210 m. The tower pillars have the shape of an inverted Y.
It has 4 railway lines (two in both directions and various lines) on the lower tier for the movement of trains at a speed of 200 km / h (on the Hefei-Fuzhou line ) and 160 km / h (on the Nanjing-Wuhu line ); 6 lanes (three on both sides) on the upper tier with an allowable speed of 100 km / h.
It is the second bridge across the Yangtze River in the territory of the Tongling City District; the first was the Tunling Road Bridge between the cities of Anqing and Tunling , opened in 1995. He is also the second bridge across the Yangtze River in the territory of the Wuhu city district; the first was the Wuhu Automobile-Railway Bridge , opened in 2000. Construction of the bridge cost 3.7 billion yuan.
