Saundersdorf ( FR. Sondersdorf ) is a commune in the north-east of France in the Grand Est region ^[1] (formerly Alsace-Champagne-Ardennes-Lorraine ), department of Haut-Rhine , Altkirch district , canton Altkirsh ^[2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton of Ferret (Altkirsch district).

The area of the commune is 8.44 km², the population is 342 people ^[3] ^[4] (2006) with a tendency towards stabilization: 347 people ^[5] (2012), the population density is 41.1 persons / km².

Economy

In 2010, out of 239 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years old), 177 were economically active , 62 were inactive (an activity indicator of 74.1%, in 1999 - 68.8%). Of the 177 active able-bodied residents, 168 people worked (95 men and 73 women), 9 were registered as unemployed (four men and 5 women). Among 62 able-bodied inactive citizens, 25 were pupils or students , 11 were retired , and another 26 were inactive for other reasons ^[8] ^[9] .
