Imaduddin Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Isfahani (1125, Isfahan - 1201, Damascus) - Arabic writer, historian, philologist. The main work is an anthology of Arabic literature of the 11th-12th centuries “The Pearl of the Palace” (“Haridat al-Qasr”). He carried the nickname al-Katib (literally - Secretary).

Biography
Born in 1125 in Isfahan. He studied theology, history and literature in Baghdad . He served as the caretaker of Basra. When Sultan Salah al-Din was an assistant vizier in Egypt. He worked in the office of the ruler in Damascus. After his death, Salah al-Din returned to Damascus and founded his own school. He died in 1201 in Damascus [5] .

- The "Collected Epistles" ("Divan Rasail") are historical and biographical writings about the Ayyubid dynasty [5] .
