Biography
Being Orthodox by religion, he studied at the school of the Palestinian Orthodox Society , at the Teacher Institute in Nazareth ( Palestine ), then at the Poltava Theological Seminary , where he became acquainted with Russian literature , which had a great influence on him. In 1916 he graduated from the Department of Liberal Arts and Law, University of Washington .
In World War I, he volunteered for the American Expeditionary Force. In New York, he became close friends with émigré Arabs, who united in 1920 in the “Association of the Feather,” led by Gibran Halil Gibran .
In 1932 he returned to his homeland.

- The drama Fathers and Sons ( 1918 ), written in exile, with a preface setting out the author’s views on Arabic dramaturgy.
- "Sieve" ( 1929 ) is a collection of articles devoted to the issues of updating Arabic literature, the need to abandon old traditions, the freedom of creativity, the problems of realism, etc.
- “Jubran Khalil Jubran, his life and death, literary creation and artistic mastery” ( 1934 ).
- Short stories in the collection “It was - was not” ( 1937 ).
- Autobiographical trilogy “70 years” ( 1960 ).
