Amangeldy Duysekeevich Duisekeev ( October 15, 1942 , Novokazalinsk, Kzyl-Orda Oblast - August 3, 2015 ) - Soviet and Kazakh children's surgeon, doctor of medical sciences, professor, honored doctor of the Republic of Kazakhstan , honored worker of Kazakhstan , deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan , vice-rector of the Kazakh National Medical University (since 2009).

Biography
Born on October 15, 1942 in Novokazalinsk, Kzyl-Orda region [1] .
Since 1965, having graduated from the pediatric faculty of the Alma-Ata Medical Institute , he headed the department of the Koktal-Arasan Children's Hospital in the Alma-Ata region . In 1967-1968 he completed a specialization in the cycle of pediatric surgery in Alma-Ata , in 1968-1969 he was a surgeon-specialist in emergency surgery of the City Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1 (Alma-Ata) [2] .
Since 1971, at the end of clinical residency in the Department of Pediatric Surgery of the Alma-Ata Medical Institute, he has been an assistant at the same department. In 1974-1981, he was the deputy chief physician for medical work of the City Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1 (Alma-Ata), and since 1981 he was the chief physician of the City Children's Clinical Hospital No. 2 (Alma-Ata) [2] [3] .
In 1985-1991, he was the head of the Alma-Ata city health department. In 1991-1997, he was the head physician of the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital "Aksai" [2] [3] .
Since 1992 - Deputy, since 1994 - First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since 1997 - Director of the Department of Drug Supply and Medical Technology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From December 1997 to 2004 - Head of the Department of Health of the Almaty region [2] .
In 2007-2009, he was the rector of the Almaty Institute for Advanced Medical Studies , and since 2009, he was vice-rector for postgraduate education and interregional cooperation of S. D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU [2] .
He died on August 4, 2015 .

Scientific activity
In 1975 he defended his thesis ("Severe craniocerebral injuries in young children"), in 1995 - his doctorate ("Surgical half-hospitals"); Professor (2009) [2] [3] .
Author of 38 scientific articles, 1 monograph [2] .
Community Activities
He was elected People's Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR in Almaty (12th convocation, 1990-1994); in 2004-2007 - a deputy (in constituency No. 15 of the Almaty region) of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan (3rd convocation), where he was a member of the Committee on Social and Cultural Development of the Mazhilis and a member of the parliamentary faction of the People's Democratic Party " Nur Otan " [2 ] [3] [1] .
