Agriculture and Sale

In Russia and Scandinavia, attempts have been made to domesticate and use moose as a dairy animal, however, the complexity of the content makes this economically inexpedient. But nevertheless, at present there are 2 moose farms in Russia: Sumarokovo moose farm in the Kostroma region and Elk farm THK Turnaevo in the Tyumen region . Also in the Kostroma region is the Sanatorium. Ivan Susanin [4] , who has a unique medical base, the only one in Russia where elk milk is used for treatment. Good results of clinical and laboratory analysis were obtained in the treatment of severe blood diseases - leukemia and lymphogranulomatosis - with elk milk. It helps to remove radionuclides from the body.

Some Russian researchers recommend using moose milk for the prevention of gastroenterological diseases in children due to the high lysozyme activity: 40–65 μg / ml [5] .

Elk House Elk House ( Swedish Älgens Hus ) in Sweden appeared thanks to Christer and Ulla Johanson, who believed that they would become the only elk cheese producers in the world. The farm consists of three moose-bringing moose, which yield about 300 kg of cheese per year. Alarmed moose cow's milk becomes small, so sometimes you have to milk it for several hours in silence to get a full 2 liters of milk. [6]

Russian elk researcher Alexander Minaev also tried to make cheese from elk milk, but he said that because of the high protein content, cheese hardens too quickly. [7]
