Alamgir ( Beng. আলমগীর , Eng. Alamgir ; born April 3, 1950 ) is a Bangladeshi film and television actor. Seven-time winner of the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor.

Biography
Alamgir was born on April 3, 1950 in Dhaka . His father, Alkhaz Kalim Uddin Ahmed, was the producer of Mukh O Mukhosh (1956), the first Bengali film in East Pakistan [1] .
The actor made his debut on the big screen in 1973 with the film Amar Jonmovumi (lit. - "My Homeland"). His next work was Dasyu Rani (lit. - "Queen of the Bandits"). In 1986, he first took the director's chair and directed the film Nishpap (lit. - “Sinless”). Over time, the actor switched from starring to secondary roles, and also began to conduct television shows, for example, Housefull on [2] .
Alamgir won the Bangladesh National Film Award seven times as "Best Actor" for his roles in the films: Ma o Chele (1985), Opekkha (1987), Khati Puron (1989), Moroner Pore (1990), Pita Mata Sontan (1991), Andho Biswas (1992), Desh Premik (1994) [3] ; and twice as "Best Supporting Actor" for the films Jibon Moraner Sathi [4] (2010) and Ke Apon Ke Por [5] (2011).
Alamgir has a daughter, singer , from his first wife, songwriter Khushnur Alamgir [6] . Now the actor is married to singer [7] .
