North Jutland ( dated. Nordjylland ) is an administrative region in Denmark , created on January 1, 2007 as part of the 2007 municipal reform, in which the traditional administrative units of the amta were replaced by five major regions. At the same time, small municipalities were merged into larger administrative units. The area includes 11 municipalities (communes).
