History
Originally, the Croatian possessions were in the Lower Regions from the Sana'a River in the west to the Vrbasa and Vrbani rivers in the east. The name of the ancestor of the clan, Stepan (d. 1301), is associated with a period of expansion of clan possessions. The offspring of Stepan had a surname derived from his name - Stepanchichi . His son Grgur Stepanich "for faithful service" received five villages from the Bosnian ban Stepan Kotromanic . After the death of Stepan’s second son, , inherited possession, who received from Stepan Kotromanich Zupa Vrbanu with the city of Kotor and Banitsa with the city of . His sons Pavel, and Vlatko. The second son of Horvatin - Prince Pavel Horvatinich in 1323 is mentioned as the owner of the Strawberry. Vukac Horvatinich, who was mentioned in 1357, was the defender of Bosnian land during the Hungarian attack in 1363, for which he received from the Bosnian ban Jupa Pliva with the city of Sokol. After his death, possessions passed to his sons: Hrvoe, Dragishe, and Wojislav. The brothers took part in the dynastic feuds of the Hungarian kingdom, for which they acquired land in Zupa Sanaa. Dragisha had a son, Ivanish, and grandchildren: Juraj, Pavel, and Marco. The latter received the city of Klyuch and some other lands from King Stepan Tomash . Vojislav had a son , who was known as a powerful nobleman, prince and governor. In a letter dated 1434, Juraj is referred to as “by the grace of the Lord Voivode of the Lower Regions”. Peter Wojsalic in 1445 and 1446 is referred to as the Bosnian voivode. Peter made an ally of the Dubrovsk citizens in the war against the Khum feudal lord Stepan Vukchich . At Hrvoj, the possessions of the clan covered the territory of the Bosnian zhups: Strawberries, Mrina, Pliva, Vrbani, Glazha, Luke, Vrbas, Dubitsa and Sana'a. The last representative of the Croatian clan - is mentioned in the Dubrovnik documents of 1476 [1] .
