Career
Pupil of Kemerovo hockey with the ball . In the championships of Russia, he played for clubs in Orenburg Lokomotiv (2000-02), BSK (2002−2005), Baikal-Energy (2006-07), Sayan (2007-08), Kuzbass (2012-13 ), Ural Tubnik (2007-08), Volga (2008−2012). In 270 games he scored 125 goals.
In 2015, he participated in the World Championship (Tournament B) as part of the Estonian team. In 6 games he scored 15 goals.
In 2016, he was also included in the Estonian national team at the World Cup (Tournament B). However, by the beginning of the competition the necessary documents for Saveliev’s participation in the games were not drawn up. Despite a warning from the International Ice Hockey Federation , the national team coaches released Alexander on ice in matches against the national teams of the Netherlands and Germany, where he scored 7 goals. The result of this violation was the disqualification of the Estonian hockey team for the entire championship, the results of the two mentioned matches were changed to a technical defeat with a score of 0: 5. He is the top scorer in the history of KSM " BSK " - 84 goals. The winner of the championship of the first league 2002/03 .
