Biography

He began his musical education at the Moscow Secondary Special Music School named after Gnesins (class A.K. Fedorchenko).

In 1966 he graduated from the Gnesins State Musical Pedagogical Institute (class A.K. Vlasov).

Laureate of the All-Russian Competition (1965).

In the years 1969-1972. was an assistant to A.K. Vlasov at the State Musical Pedagogical Institute. Gnesins, since 1986 - led his own class there.

In 1965, as a student, he entered the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra .

Since 1982 he has been the accompanist of the cello group of the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra, since 1983 he has been the band's first accompanist.

Since 1990, he taught at the Department of Cello and Double Bass of the Moscow Conservatory, since 2001 - professor.

Since 2004, he also taught at the Children's Music School of the Academic College of Music at the Moscow Conservatory and at the Moscow Secondary Special Music School named after Gnesins.

Many students of Dmitry Georgievich Miller are laureates of international competitions.
