Biography
Ihlas Adambekov was born in 1912 in aul No. 3 (now the village of Aksu-Ayuly, Shetsky district, Karaganda region ). It comes from the Koyanchi-Tagay subgenus of the Karakesek clan of the Argyn tribe [1] . At the age of 6, he was left an orphan, brought up in the Karkaraly orphanage. In 1929 he joined the Komsomol . In 1934-1935 he worked as an employee of the youth republican newspaper "Leninshil Let." In 1935-1938 he studied at the Kazakh Institute of Journalism . In 1938-1939 he worked as executive secretary in the publishing house of Kazakh fiction.
After the start of World War II, he went to the front. He served as a scout of the 857th artillery regiment of the 316th rifle division . He took part in the Battle of Moscow . He died on October 18, 1941 (according to other sources - October 26 [2] ) in the battle for the village of Golubtsy, Volokolamsk District, Moscow Region [3] .
Creativity
In 1939, the collection “Dostar zhregі” (“Hearts of Friends”) was published, which included about 30 of his poems and lyrics. Some of these poems were then translated into Russian and included in the anthology of Kazakh literature “Songs of the Steppes”, published in 1940 in Moscow . The works of Ihlas Adambekov were included in the collection of poems by Kazakh frontline poets “Campaign songs”, published in 1943 [3] .

- Daughter - Khamar Ihlasovna Adambekova (b. 1941) - director of secondary school No. 16 of the city of Balkhash , deputy of the regional maslikhat [3] [5] .
Memory
The Balkhash Museum of Local Lore has a corner dedicated to Ihlas Adambekov. In Balkhash secondary school No. 16 there is a stand about Ihlas Adambekov. A memorial plaque was installed in the poet’s native village [3] . The name of Ihlas Adambekov is inscribed on a marble plaque in the building of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan , dedicated to 25 Kazakh writers who did not return from the war [4] .
