The Rudanivsky peninsula is a peninsula in the Olginsky district of the Primorsky Territory .

History
The peninsula was opened on July 13 ( 25 ), 1857 from the steamboat-corvette " America " under the command of N. M. Chikhachyov and the tender " Kamchadal " under the command of the FSC of captain A. M. Chudinov [1] [2] .
Named in honor of N. V. Rudanovsky (1819 - 1882) - the Russian rear admiral, cartographer, explorer of Sakhalin and the Lower Amur, the Baltic and Caspian seas.
Geography
The Rudanovsky Peninsula is located in the western part of the Vladimir Bay of the Sea of Japan .
The relief of the peninsula is predominantly hilly, the coast on the cape is rocky, steep. The hillsides are covered with low-growing broad-leaved forest combined with shrub and meadow vegetation.
The peninsula is separated by a narrow and low sandy isthmus from the land, passing which you can get to the shore located north of the neighboring bay .
The road to the peninsula goes through the village Jolly Yar . In the prewar years on the peninsula built defensive structures Vladimir-Olginsky fortified. In summer, the coast of the peninsula - a place of rest of the Far East .
