Farbrausch (from it. Farbe - color [1] and rausch - intoxication [2] ) is a well-known [3] [4] German demogroup , famous primarily for its 64- kilobyte intro of the end of 2000 called “ fr-08. the .product .
The group is distinguished by extreme scrupulousness in optimizing the size of their work [5] . A striking example is the aforementioned demo fr-08 , in which, thanks to procedural texturing techniques, modeling and animation , high-quality software synthesizer , as well as the kkrunchy compressor, it was possible to realize a full 11-minute audiovisual presentation that would have required the worst conditions volume of about 2 GB to store the information used.
In 2004, the division of Farbrausch theprodukkt released a full-featured computer game in the genre of first-person shooter called .kkrieger . The main feature of this game is that at a relatively high technological level, its volume is only 96 kilobytes (it is worth noting, however, that the game consists of only one level, and the artificial intelligence of opponents is uniform and primitive). In the same year, the group also produces a specialized tool for creating demos - .werkkzeug .
The group has won many awards (including first places on demopati such as Mekka & Symposium , Breakpoint and The Ultimate Meeting ) and occupies one of the leading positions according to the rating of the resource pouët.net .
Farbrausch is also known for including the release number ( “fr-0 #” type ) in the titles of their work. There are also works named in the style of fr-minus-0 # , not intended for publication on demopati .
In 2009, Farbrausch, again called .theprodukkt , released .detuned, an interactive demo for the PlayStation 3 [6] .

This group, as well as .theprodukkt branched off from it, created a significant number of innovative tools for developing demolatics. Of these, not all were released to the public, but were used only within the group.

- .werkkzeug 3 texture edition - the werkkzeug 3 version, which was released on May 7, 2007, was significantly limited in functionality.

- kkrunchy is an executable file wrapper aimed at compressing 64 kb intro. At first it was a modified version of UPX, then it became an independent development.
- kkapture is a program for screencasting demos in AVI format.
- V2 Synthesizer System - Farbrausch sound system, the first version released in 2004, the latest version at the moment - 1.5. The source code was closed until 2011.
- BR404 Software Synthesizer is another sound system created by Benjamin Rosseaux based on the closed source code V2.
- Altona is a framework used in .werkkzeug 4 and some other Farbrausch developments.
