Create

The 409th Fighter Aviation Regiment was formed on April 23, 1944 without a number from the 20 training aviation regiment of the 15th Air Army [1] [2] . The 409th Fighter Aviation Regiment was named April 30, 1944 on the basis of the Order of the Commander of the 15th Air Army [3] .

Disbandment of the Regiment

Due to a reduction in the composition of the USSR Armed Forces on December 31, 1945, the 409th Fighter Aviation Regiment was disbanded, together with the 130th Iad in the 15th Special Operations Aviation Command, Jacob, 168th IAP [4] [5] .
