Biography
In 1937 he entered the military service, remained on it until the end of World War II . In 1945-1950 studied conducting in Hamburg. In 1950-1957 headed the Hamburg Chamber Orchestra , then in 1959-1968. Swabian Symphony Orchestra . Walter left an extensive discography, mainly related to the 1950s and often issued by semi-legal counterfeit companies, who signed records with a set of randomly invented pseudonyms, of which only a few are firmly known: Karl Jergens, Karl Roiter, Walter Jurgens and others. Walter's most frequent partners the soloists were violinist Janine Andrade and pianist Sondra Bianca . Among these records are known, in particular, a concert for violin and orchestra by P.I.
