She studied violin at the Athens Conservatory , studied Spanish language and literature at the University of Barcelona . For fifteen years she combined her musical and philological career, teaching violin at the Piraeus Conservatory and Spanish at the University of Athens .
She made her debut in literature with the publication of a series of short stories in 1950. In 1955 she released the first book of prose, followed by three more, as well as the fictionalized biography of Lope de Vega . However, Yatridi's translations of Spanish literature into Greek brought him the greatest fame. Among other things, Yatridi translated the second volume of Don Quixote by Miguel Cervantes , several books by Miguel Unamuno , works by Tirso de Molina , Pio Barohi , Alejandro Cazona , Federico Garcia Lorca , Juan Ramon Jimenez , Ramon del Valle Inclana , as well as from French, two a novel by Jules Verne and a collection of Eugene Ionesco .
