Biography
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota , in the family of journalist David Neal [5] and his wife, a theater dancer. [6] In her youth she worked as a model, having achieved great success as a pin-up girl during the Second World War . For the first time on cinema screens, Nill appeared in a cameo role in 1942, and she began a full-fledged career in cinema in 1944, after signing a contract with Paramount Pictures .
She was best known for her role as Lois Lane in the movie Superman (1948) and Atomic Man vs. Superman (1950), as well as the 1950s television series Adventures of Superman. For decades, Nill has appeared in various productions of the Superman franchise, often playing with relatives of one of the main characters, including the 1978 movie Superman , the television series Supermalchik and Lois and Clark: New Adventures of Superman , [7] and in the 2006 film Superman Returns . On June 15, 2010, in the city of Metropolis, which is considered the "official home of Superman", a monument to Lois Lane was unveiled, the prototype for the image of which was Noel Nill.
Since 1943, the actress was married to Hollywood makeup artist Harold Lirli, who died in 1994.
