Creation History
The song was originally written in English and was called “Waterloo Road” (verses by Michael Anthony Deigan, music by Abraham Vasikovich). In this version, it was released as a single by British rock band . Then the French songwriter Pierre Delanoe rewrote poetry in French [2] [3] .
Release
The song "Les Champs-Élysées" was published by Joe Dassin as a single in 1969, on the other side of the record was the song "Le Chemin de papa".
