Double (film, 1985)

Jörg Kaufmann, a dry and pedantic leading engineer at an electrical plant, annoys not only his colleagues, but also his young wife, Brigitte - their family is balancing on the brink of divorce. Brigitte's former friend, photographer Benno, accidentally finds in the city a double of Kaufmann - a wicked womanizer, jazz pianist Engel, who works in a night bar. Benno is maturing the idea of ​​how to save Jörg’s marriage - and while he is on a business trip, he persuades Engel to get used to his role, both in the enterprise and in married life.

Upon returning, Jörg was shocked by the changes - both his appointment to a higher position and the completely new attitude of his colleagues towards him - unacceptably familiar, from his point of view - and no less surprised by the tender feelings on the part of his wife. He suspects something was wrong, with his meticulous mind, he quickly calculates the culprit and begins to take revenge. However, the disclosure of secrets is beneficial to everyone - himself, the pianist, whose career was clearly stagnant in the bar, as well as his wife Jorg and her friend.

In the last shots, Jörg appears already with a beard that he has grown to not be confused with a potential competitor. He and Brigitte are moving away against the backdrop of a concert poster, which shows Engel, who also grew a beard.
