E6 is a high-speed AC electric train operating on the Tohoku and Akita lines of the Shinkansen Japanese High-Speed Rail Network. Serves branded high-speed train Super Komatsi. Before the introduction of the E6 electric train, the Komachi train worked on the same route, developing 275 km / h. The introduction of E6 allowed to increase the maximum train speed to 320 km / h. The train to Morioka station follows in conjunction with E5, then follows separately at low speed to Akita station. Like E5, E6 uses the achievements of the Fastech 360 train. The experimental train E6 is designated as S12 (later renamed Z1). It was released in 2010. Between 2012 and 2014, serial trains were produced.
