Career
Junior career
He has been involved in biathlon since 2003, his personal trainer is Vasily Vyacheslavovich Bolshakov. Participates in international competitions since 2010.
The first major tournament for Sparrow was the Junior World Cup 2015 , held in Raubichi . At this tournament, the Belarusian athlete took 8th place in the individual race, 16th in the sprint and 17th in the pursuit. In the relay sparrow in the national team of Belarus took fifth place.
At the next junior championship , in 2016 in Cale-Gradiste , Maxim took 10th place in the individual race, 9th in the sprint and fourth in the pursuit [1] . In the 2015/16 season, the athlete also played in the IBU Youth Cup and won at one of the stages [2] .
Adult Career
In the 2014/15 season, he made his debut at the IBU Cup in the sprint race at the stage in Beitostolen , where he took 78th place. In total, in his first season, he was never able to score points for the IBU Cup. In the 2015/16 season he performed much more successfully, the best result was the sixth place in the sprint at the stage in Ridnaun .
He made his debut in the World Cup competitions in February 2016 at the stage in Canmore . In his first sprint race, having shot without a miss, he took 19th place, which allowed him to score first points in the World Cup classification [3] .
