"Askhab-Ul-Kahf" ( Azeri. Əshab-ül Kəhf ) is a cave located in the territory of the Babek region of Azerbaijan . It is a place of pilgrimage for Muslims [1] . It is protected by the state as a monument of history and culture of national importance [2] .

According to Azerbaijani legend , the characters of the Quran were hiding here, in order to protect their faith in the one God during the persecutions [3] .
