Biography
He graduated from the Bucharest Conservatory. In 1892-1899 he continued his education in Paris with Vincent d'Andy and Charles Marie Widor . In 1900 he returned to his homeland and became a professor at the Bucharest Conservatory. In 1901 he founded the choir society Carmen, whose conductor was until the end of his days. Promoted Romanian music. In 1920 he became one of the founders of the Society of Romanian Composers and the Phonoarchive of Romanian Folk Music. Engaged in the processing of folk songs.
