Biography
Joseph Barth served as an ordinary professor of anatomy and ophthalmology at the University of Vienna . In 1776 he was appointed a life doctor of the emperor. He founded a private eye hospital and performed about three thousand cataract surgeries. Among Bart's students are Johann Adam Schmidt , Georg Joseph Beer and Jiri Prohaska .
