The production was carried out and controlled by Millennium Films and Nu Image , which were represented by the main producers of the film - Boaz Davidson , John Thompson, Mark Gill, Les Weldon, and Avi Lerner , who served as Executive Producer along with Krista Campbell and Lati Grobman . The script was written by David White and Tony Mosher on the plot of Boaz Davidson [5] [6] . Despite the fact that the movie director Todor Chapkanov is officially the director of the film, the director, as in the previous two tapes, was Isaac Florentine , who was assigned the title of producer in the credits due to the fact that until the very beginning of the shooting he was not sure of the readiness direct a film because of cancer found in his wife [7] [8] .
The shooting took place from June to July 31, 2015 in Bulgaria [9] [10] [11] . To find distributors for the release of the tape, the rights to distribute the film were put up for sale on September 22, 2016 at the Fantastic Fest festival in the USA , where a special show was also held for potential buyers. As a result, distribution rights in the United States were acquired by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment , which released the tape for official release on August 1, 2017 on DVD and Blu-ray without showing in movie theaters. In Russia , unlike previous films, “Undisputed 4” was not released on DVD and Blu-ray, and went on sale only in the form of a digital edition on October 31 of the same year by Volga [1] .

Story
After the events of the previous film , several years pass. Yuri Boyka lives in Kiev , where he trains and conducts battles, with the support of manager Kirill. Meanwhile, in the Russian Black Hills prison, where Yuri was once the undisputed champion, a new champion appeared - an insane prisoner nicknamed “The Nightmare”. During a qualifying match, the winner of which will be able to participate in the international European championship in mixed martial arts in Budapest , Boyka accidentally kills his opponent - Russian fighter Viktor Gregov. Tormented by guilt, he decides to meet with his widow, for which he decides to go to Russia , which can end for him quite disastrously, given that he is a runaway criminal.
Using a fake passport, Yuri safely gets to the city of Drovni, where he finds the widow of a soldier, Alma, who works with children in kindergarten. It turns out that Victor and Alma were financially dependent on the local criminal authority Zurab, who now, knowing that her husband is dead, forces her to pay the debt, considering her her property. Yuri visits the Vulkan club, where Alma works as a waitress at night, and discovers that no one is allowed to her, having had a rough talk with Zurab himself in the end. Containing an underground arena in the Vulkan club, where Igor Kazmir is an underground champion, wins victory after claiming that it is his ring, Zurab searches for a dangerous opponent who can show a grandiose performance, while Yuri Boyka comes and offers him deal: he will hold three fights for him in the ring, after which Alma will receive complete freedom. Zurab agrees, but reserves the right to change the rules of the arrangement.
First Boyka opposes the local fighter, Boris Tarsov, and defeats him, to which Zurab reacts very negatively. Yuri asks Alma to suggest a place for training, and the latter brings him to the hall where Viktor trained. Then, in the second battle, Yuri fights against two rivals - the Ozeryov brothers, and, despite the lumbar injury received in the process, he wins the match. Alma begins to understand that Boyka is driven by noble feelings, and tries to help him by making medicine for his lower back, but he is angry with him for offering to leave the city. Zurab sets Alma against Yuri, saying that the death of her husband is far from an accident, and also says that after Yuri wins all the fights, he is going to kill him. Yuri is contacted by his manager, Cyril, saying that it is time to return, because everything is ready for the championship, which Boyka asks for some time. Zurab contacts people from the Black Hills prison in Russia, making a deal with them: they will bring their champion to arrange a fight against Yuri Boyka, and in return Zurab will hand him over regardless of the outcome of the match. Alma decides to find out the truth about her husband from Yuri, to which he gives explanations: he was a very bad person, for which he was in terrible prisons, where he went through an unprecedented number of battles, dreaming of the fact that one day he could become taller. And so, when an opportunity appeared before him, he did not see a man in front of him - for him it was only a chance to show himself and break out into a new league, thereby fulfilling his old dream. But now he regrets what he did with all his heart - faith in God helped him find himself and his path. All he needs is forgiveness. Alma hesitates and leaves.
After the third fight against the local champion Igor Kazmir, Boyka intends to leave the city - he already missed the bus, because the championship in Budapest is waiting for him. Not wanting to let Alma go, Zurab forces Yuri to have another fight with the “true champion”, who turns out to be the “Nightmare” fighter specially brought from the “Black Hills”. But despite the sufficient difference in weight and power indicators, Yuri still wins.
Zurab orders his people to kill Yuri and tries to take Alma away. During fights and shootings, Boyka receives bullet wounds in the shoulder and knee, but despite this, he grabs a gun and continues to pursue Zurab. Having overtaken Zurab, he realizes that he is not going to let Alma go and that the deal is an empty place for him. Zurab shoots Yuri, but thanks to the resistance of Alma Boyka gets to the first and beat him, strangling in the end. Alma keeps Yuri bleeding and offers to hide, as there is still a chance, but he apologizes to her and resigns herself to what happened. Police appear to arrest the fighter.
Six months pass. Yuri is serving time in Russia, in the Black Hills maximum security prison, where Alma visits him. She shows him drawings made by children who constantly watched his training, and also says that she is grateful to Yuri for returning her dignity and freedom, for which she forgives him. With renewed vigor, Yuri Boyka returns to the old prison ring again, showing all the jubilant prisoners that he is the undisputed champion of this ring.
