Biography
In 1975 she graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Arzamas State Pedagogical Institute named after A. Gaidar [2] . In 1996 she graduated from the Academy of the Russian Academy of Public Administration with a degree in management [3] .
Labor biography in the Nevelsk school teacher, deputy director, then - the head of the methodological office of the City of Nevelsk. In 1991, she was elected a deputy to the Nevelsky city and Sakhalin regional Council of People’s Deputies, to be the chairman of the Nevelsky City Council.
In 1994-1996 - Deputy, from 1996 to 2004 - First Deputy Chairman of the Sakhalin Regional Duma of the first, second and third convocations.
From November 2001 to July 2002, she acted as Chairman of the Sakhalin Regional Duma .
In February 2004, she was appointed vice-governor of the Sakhalin region, in 2007 she was elected deputy of the State Duma of the fifth convocation, deputy chairman of the committee on social issues of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
In October 2012, she was elected a deputy of the Sakhalin Regional Duma of the sixth convocation.
She was the co-chairman of the Sakhalin branch of the Union of Women of Russia, a member of the political council of the United Russia party, a member of the United Russia faction in the Sakhalin Oblast Duma.
Died due to cancer. The funeral service took place in the Resurrection Cathedral of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The funeral was conducted by the Archbishop of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsky and Kuril Tikhon .
Buried at the cemetery complex "Lastochka".
Awards and titles
She was awarded the Medal of the Order for Services to the Fatherland, II degree, an honorary badge of "Excellence in Education of the Russian Federation", the Orthodox Order of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga. She was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Sakhalin Region and the Certificate of Honor of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
In 2013, for special achievements in the development of the region, she was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the Sakhlinsk Region”.
