Andrei Vladimirovich Yusov ( Ukrainian: Andriy Volodimirovich Yusov ; born January 8, 1983 , Odessa ) is a Ukrainian public activist and politician, analyst, director of the School for Responsible Politics , organizer of a number of election campaigns.

Education
From 1989 to 1998 he studied at the Mariinsky Gymnasium. In 1998 he entered the Odessa Law Lyceum, in 2000 he graduated from it.
In 2000 he entered the Odessa National University. Mechnikov at the Faculty of Economics and Law. In 2003, he transferred to the law faculty of Kiev National University of Culture and Arts .
In 2005 he graduated from it, having received a specialist diploma in the specialty "Jurisprudence", qualification - lawyer [1] .
Professional and political activities
2001 - during the campaign “Ukraine without Kuchma” he headed the Odessa center Public Resistance Committee “For Truth!”.
September 17, 2001 - organized the rally in honor of the memory of journalist George Gongadze in Odessa. [2]
On April 25, 2002, he initiated the creation of the inter-regional organization “Ukrainian Brotherhood” [3] and was elected chairman of the organization’s council.
From 2003 to 2004 he trained in the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine , where he was involved in the analysis of bills. He worked as an assistant to the people's deputies of the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th convocations ( Eduard Gurvits , Vladimir Kurenny , Yuri Orobts , Taras Stetskiv , Leonid Kozachenko ).
In 2004, during the Orange Revolution , he was a member of the PORA Civil Campaign Coordination Center, one of the campaign’s speakers, coordinator of student strike groups.
March 23, 2005, together with Yevgeny Zolotarev founded the political party "Civil Party" PORA! " He was deputy chairman of the political council.
In 2005, he was elected co-chairman of the board of the public organization Institute of National Interests.
In 2005, together with Sergey Taran, he became a co-founder of the international organization International Institute of Democracies.
2006 - participated in the parliamentary elections. He was 18 on the list of the PORA! -PRP block led by Vitali Klitschko . He was the deputy head of the election headquarters.
2008 - co-coordinator of the public committee "Caucasus without War" - an organization that opposed the aggression of the Russian Federation against Georgia.
2008 - became a co-founder of the Liberal Ukrainian Club. Since 2011 - headed it.
In 2009, with the participation of Andrei Yusov, the Odessa Ukrainian Club was recreated. [3] In 2011, the initiators of the revival of the club presented a free university - a discussion platform for the formation of a modern political nation [4] .
Since June 15, 2009 he was appointed to the post of head of the Department of Youth and Family Policy of the Odessa City Council.
2010-2012 - was a member of the public organization "Cold Initiative". He took an active part and organized a series of actions of the “anti-tobacco campaign” - protests against the then Minister of Education of Ukraine Dmitry Tabachnik .
2011 - within the framework of the “Cold Initiative”, he co-coordinated the “People’s Shevchenko Prize” action to award the writer Vasily Shklyar the People’s Shevchenko Prize for the novel “The Black Raven”. That year, Shklyar was awarded the State Shevchenko Prize , but he refused to receive it while Dmitry Tabachnik remains the Minister of Education [5] .
April 29, 2012 - as part of the Kholodnojarskaya Initiative, with the participation of the Kholodny Yar historical club, he coordinated the unveiling of a monument to the villagers who died after the harvest time of 1920 from sabers of the red squadron for attempting to revolt against the occupying authorities [6] .
2012 - became the chairman of the Odessa regional organization of the UDAR party. In August 2015, he left the BLOW after the merger of this party with the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” [7] .
2013 - together with Evgeny Zolotarev founded the School of Responsible Politics - an independent association of political experts, analysts and political strategists
In February 2015, he became an adviser to the head of the department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region on issues of public relations [8] .
2016 - Appointed Advisor to the Vinnitsa Mayor Sergei Morgunov .
2017 - Advisor to the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Verkhovna Rada on information policy issues.
2018 - expert on socio-political issues at the Institute for Urban Development. [9]
Coordinator of the Open Parties social platform, a transparent reporting system for political parties, thanks to which no decision can be made in violation of the procedures or passed unnoticed by community members.
He took part in the national project "New Leaders", where he presented the platform "Open Parties".
He entered the TOP-50 of "New Leaders" according to the results of online voting.
Criminal prosecution
In 2001, Yusov took an active part in protests against the then government in the country - President Leonid Kuchma , Odessa Mayor Ruslan Bodelan .
After one of these actions (picketing of the Zhovtnevy district court of Odessa on March 1, 2002), prosecution of Yusov by law enforcement agencies began, a criminal case was opened [10] (under article 293 there was a group violation of mass order). People’s deputies Roman Bessmertny and Vladimir Stretovich spoke in defense of Yusov. People’s deputies Vyacheslav Chornovil and Vyacheslav Kirilenko wrote inquiries to law enforcement agencies regarding this case. However, because of the persecution, Yusov had to leave his studies at ONU. Mechnikov and move to Kiev and continue training already in the capital.
In July 2002, the criminal case was closed for lack of corpus delicti [11] .
Participation in the Orange Revolution
During the "Orange Revolution" Andrei Yusov was one of the field commanders of the Kiev Maidan. He was one of the first to go to Maidan to hold rallies against the 2004 election results .
Participant of resistance actions in Chernihiv against political persecution of activists, organizer of picketing of the cottage of the then President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma.
Initiator of the installation of the Orange Revolution monument on Kontraktova Square [12] .
Participation in the Revolution of Dignity
Andrei Yusov was one of the organizers of the action “Odessa - Euro Rate”, which took place in Odessa on November 22, 2013 [13] , even before the start of the Euromaidan in Kiev.
During the events of the Revolution of Dignity, Yusov became one of the leaders of the Odessa Euromaidan - the coordinator of the Odessa branch of the Maidan [14] . He was also the chairman of the People’s Council of the Maidan in Odessa.
Participated in the events of May 2, 2014 in Odessa on the side of the Euromaidanites.
Attempted murder and beating
On September 19, 2014, an attempt was made to assassinate Yusov [15] . According to the attacker, who was detained at the crime scene, he wanted to avenge Yusov’s activities during the events of May 2, 2014 in Odessa, on the Kulikovo field [16] . The attacker was sentenced to 15 years in prison [17] .
Another attempt was made on a number of Odessa activists, but thanks to the work of the SBU, it was never carried out. A list of 15 names was found among the attackers, among which were Alexey Goncharenko, Mark Gordienko, Sergey Gutsalyuk, Andrey Yusov and others [18] .
September 19, 2015 in the village of Zatoka, Belgorod-Dniester district of Odessa region, Yusov was attacked by a group of pro-Russian people. The reason for the attack was Yusov’s response to the greeting “Glory to Ukraine” - “Glory to the Heroes” [19] .
