Club career
Jemerson began his career in 2009 by starting to play for the youth team of Confiance . In 2010, he joined Atlético Mineiro , after being denied Palmeiras , Santos and Vasco da Gama . [2] In 2012, to get a game practice, Gemerson on a loan played for the Democrat club [3] . After the lease was over, he returned to Atletico Mineiro and was included in the club's application. On July 4, Jemerson got into an application for the Libertadores Cup match against the Argentinean Newells Old Boys , but he never entered the field. On July 8, in a match against Chrysium , he made his debut in the Brazilian Serie A [4] . Jemerson played the rest of the season as Rever and Leonardo Silva . In 2014, Rever was injured and this allowed Jemerson to get more playing time [5] . On September 5, 2014, in the Brazil Cup match against Palmeiras, he scored his first goal for the team [6] . In the same year, Jemerson helped the club win the national cup and the Mineiro League . On May 17, 2015, in a duel against Fluminense , he took a double, scoring his first goals for Atlético in the championship [7] .
In early 2015, Jemerson moved to the French “ Monaco ”, signing a five-year contract. The transfer amount amounted to 10 million euros [8] . On March 20, in a match against Paris Saint-Germain , he made his debut in League 1 [9] . On October 21, in a duel against Montpellier , Jemerson scored his first goal for Monaco [10] . In 2017, he helped Monaco win the championship for the first time in 17 years.
International Career
On June 13, 2017, in a friendly match against Australia, Jemerson made his debut for the Brazilian national team , replacing Tiago Silva in the second half [11] .
