Crater Street ( lat. Street ) is a large ancient impact crater in the southern hemisphere of the visible side of the moon , just south of the well-marked crater Tycho . The name was given in honor of the English astronomer Thomas Street (1621-1689) and approved by the International Astronomical Union in 1935. The formation of the crater belongs to the nectar period [1] .

Crater Description
The closest neighbors of Crater Street are Brown Crater in the west; Crater Tycho in the north; the Pictet crater in the northeast; Crater Proctor in the east; Magini crater in the southeast and Longomontan crater in the southwest [2] . The selenographic coordinates of the center of the crater are , diameter 58.5 km [3] , depth 2670 m [4] .
Crater Street has a polygonal shape, significantly destroyed and blocked by rocks ejected during the formation of the crater Tycho. The shaft is flattened and marked by a multitude of small craters, the satellite craters of Street B and Street E are adjacent to the south-western part of the shaft, Picte D is to the north-east, and the northern part of the shaft is almost equal to the surrounding terrain to the south-east. The bottom of the bowl is crossed, with no visible structures except for a small crater in the northwestern part.
Crater Street is included in the list of craters with dark radial stripes on the inner slope of the Association of Moon and Planetary Astronomy (ALPO) [5] .
