Career

Sosha Makani is a pupil of the Fajr Sepasi club from Shiraz . He began his professional career in 2006 as part of this particular club. For two seasons spent as part of the Shiraz, Makani played 42 matches. In the summer of 2008, he joined Hamadan PAS and signed a two-year contract with this club. He played for this club until 2010 and during that time he played 44 matches. That year, in the summer, he moved to Steel Azin for one year and played only ten matches for this club. As part of this club, he first became known as the culprit in the mass brawl of soccer players in a match against Tehran Persepolis.

In 2011, he moved to Tehran Naft and signed a three-year contract with this club. Sosha played for Tehran oil workers until the beginning of 2013 and during that time he played 56 matches. At the beginning of the same year, he moved to the Ahwazian “ Fulad ” and in the debut season he won the Iran championship with “Fulad” and reached the playoff stage of the AFC Champions League 2014 [1] .

After a successful performance in the “Fulada”, the strongest clubs in Iran claimed for Sosha Makani. In the summer of 2014, he signed a two-year contract with one of Iran’s strongest clubs - Tehran Persepolis .

Team Career

Sosha Makani played for the Iranian youth team. I received a call to the Iranian national team in 2012. Makani was expelled from Iran to compete at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil against Nigeria due to a fight in the last match of the AFC qualifying round against South Korea. Nevertheless, he was still included in the Iranian national team. Until today, he played three matches for the Iranian national team [2] [3] [4] .

Arrest

On January 4, 2016, Sosha Makani was arrested by the Iranian police and detained. The reason for this was the photos of Makani, posted in his account on the social network, in the company of girls without a hijab . Iran is an Islamic republic , and according to a representative of law enforcement agencies, photographs of this kind "produce corruption, corruption and prostitution in society." Later, information appeared that the player’s page on the social network was allegedly hacked and the attackers posted the photo. Confirmation of this information did not follow. It was reported that during the investigation, the player will be in prison [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] . In connection with the arrest of the football player, the head coach of Persepolis Branko Ivankovich began to look for a replacement for Makani. In January, the Tehran club held talks with three Uzbek goalkeepers and ultimately signed a contract with goalkeeper of Tashkent Pakhtakor Alexander Lobanov . In addition to Lobanov, Branko Ivankovich wanted to conclude contracts with Ignatius Nesterov or Eldorbek Suyunov [10] [11] . In March, the footballer was released and returned to the camp of Persepolis.
