Biography
Daniel Pauman was born on August 13, 1986 in the town of Vac , Pest County . He began to actively engage in rowing from early childhood, trained under the leadership of Katalin Roznoyi , and trained at MTK and Vasas SC sports clubs.
Thanks to a series of successful performances, he was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London - as part of a four-seater crew, which also included rowers Zoltan Kammerer , David Toth and Tamas Kulifai , won the second place in a thousand meters and won the silver Olympic medal ( in the finals, only the crew from Australia beat him).
After the London Olympics, Pauman remained in the main line-up of the Hungarian rowing team and continued to take part in major international regattas. So, in 2013, he performed at the European Championships in the Portuguese city of Montemor-o-Velho, where he became a bronze medalist in fours at a thousand meters. The following season, in the same discipline, he took bronze at the world championship in Moscow. A year later, at similar competitions in Milan, he added to the track record a silver award received in the kilometer race of four-seater crews. In addition, in the season of 2015, he went to represent the country at the first European Games in Baku and won his victory with his four-meter kayak a thousand meters away.
