Biography
David Tot was born on February 21, 1985 in Szekesfehervar , the county of Feuer . He began to actively engage in rowing from early childhood, trained under the leadership of Katalin Roznoyi , and trained at MTK and Vasas SC sports clubs.
He achieved his first serious success at the adult international level in 2011, when he joined the Hungarian national team and attended the home world championships in Szeged, where he brought in the gold dignity, won in the 500-meter double kayak with his teammate Tamas Kulifai .
Thanks to a series of successful performances, he won the right to defend the country's honor at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London - as part of a four-seater crew, which also included rowers Zoltan Kammerer , Tamas Kulifai and Daniel Pauman , took second place at a thousand meters and thereby won a silver Olympic medal ( in the finals, only the crew from Australia beat him).
After the London Olympics, Thoth remained in the main composition of Hungary's rowing team and continued to take part in major international regattas. So, in 2013, he performed at the European Championships in the Portuguese city of Montemor-o-Velho, where he became a bronze medalist in fours at a thousand meters. The following season, in the same discipline, he took bronze at the world championship in Moscow. A year later, at similar competitions in Milan, he added to the track record a silver award received in the kilometer race of four-seater crews. In addition, in the season of 2015, he went to represent the country at the first European Games in Baku and won his victory with his four-meter kayak a thousand meters away.
