- In the battle of Borne, by the mayor of the Franks, Karl Martell defeated the Frisian army . The Frisian king Poppo was killed. The Franks captured the Frisian lands between the Vly and Lowers rivers.
- Obeid Allah ibn al-Gabhab was appointed governor of Ifricia (ruled until 741). He built the mosque of al-Zaitoon in Tunisia and the marine arsenal [1] .
- The King of the Picts Angus I attacked the Gaelic kingdom of Dal Riad and captured Dun Leithfinn Castle, forcing King Dungal to flee to Ireland .
- Civil war broke out in the Arab states from the Maghreb to Kairouan , including in Al-Andalus . The war lasted until 742.
- The Omeyad governor of Narbonne, Yusuf ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Fihri, concluded a pact with the Duke of Provence Mavront on the joint defense of Arles and Avignon against Franks advancing in the Rhone Valley [2] .
- Unsuccessful Muslim expedition against Sicily [3] .
- In Sogd and Khorasan , another uprising begins against the violent Islamization of Central Asia after the Arab conquest (suppressed in 737 ).

- The commander of the Arab army, Abu Muslim ibn Abdul-Malik, appointed several rulers in Dagestan , one of which was Shahbal Kumukha . The foundation of the Gazikumukh shamshalstva .
- In a decisive naval battle near the mouth of the Boyne River, the fleet of King Ailech Aed Allan defeated the fleet of the supreme king of Ireland, Flattbert, the poppy of Loingsig and his allies. Flatbertach poppy Loingsig was forced to abandon the throne. The title of supreme king passed to Aed Allan.

- March 23 - During the reign of the Tang Dynasty, a major earthquake damages the Tianshui area of Gansu province. The number of victims is estimated at 40 thousand people [4] .
- July 30 - after the death of Tatvin, Nothelm becomes ordained the new archbishop of Canterbury (ordained the following year, 735).
- November 25 - Kagan of the East Turkic Kaganate Bilge Khan dies to God under unclear circumstances (possibly poisoned). His son Yollig-tegin Izhan-khan [5] [6] ascends the throne.
