Biography
Lisa Aldenhof was born March 26, 1980 in Perth , Western Australia . She began to actively engage in kayaking from early childhood, she was trained at the Canning River Canoe Club.
The first serious success at the adult international level was achieved in 2004, when she got into the main team of the Australian national team and thanks to a series of successful performances she was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the Athens Summer Olympics . Started here in fours together with Chantal Mick , Amanda Rankin and Kate Barkley at a distance of 500 meters, reached the final stage of the tournament, but only sixth finished in the decisive race, not reaching the prize positions.
As one of Australia's rowing team leaders, Aldenhof successfully qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympics - this time as part of a four-seater crew, which also included Chantal Mick, Hannah Davis and Lindsay Fogarty , took third place in the half-kilometer race and thereby won Olympic bronze medal (only teams from Germany and Hungary were ahead of her at the finish). Soon after the end of these competitions, she decided to end the career of a professional athlete, losing her place in the national team to young Australian rowers.
