The ancient name of the village of Polom is Spaso-Voblovitsky. It was founded in 1553 on the low left bank of the Vyatka River [1] .

“On January 31, 1595, the Voblovitsky volost of the Sloboda district became the patrimony of the Vyatka Assumption Trifonov Monastery.
