The ancient name of the village of Polom is Spaso-Voblovitsky. It was founded in 1553 on the low left bank of the Vyatka River [1] .

“On January 31, 1595, the Voblovitsky volost of the Sloboda district became the patrimony of the Vyatka Assumption Trifonov Monastery. In 1764, Catherine II secularized church lands, in connection with which the Voblovitsky volost was removed from the monastery and transferred to state administration. ” [3]
