Sergei Ivanovich Zakhvatov (1918 - 1986) is a Soviet hockey player with ball and ice hockey and a hockey coach .

Career
In 1936-47 he played in the Chelyabinsk CTZ in hockey with the ball .
Since the 1946/47 season, he began to play ice hockey as part of the Chelyabinsk Dzerzhinets . Over 7 seasons, spent about 100 games, scored 19 goals.
Since 1954 - the head coach of HC " Tractor " (until 1958 - " Vanguard ", previously " Dzerzhinets "). Under the leadership of S.I. Zakhvatova “ Vanguard ” was three times in the top five of the best teams of the USSR.
At the 1956 winter student games he was the second coach of the USSR national team , who became the champion.
October 22, 1957 awarded the title of Honored Trainer of the USSR .
From 1962 until his retirement in 1978, he was chairman of SC Sunrise.
Sergei Ivanovich Zakhvatov died at the age of 68 on December 29, 1986.
In 2004 he was included in the Domestic Hockey Hall of Fame .
