Content
History
The University of Craiova CS Football Club was founded in 2013 , on the site of the Universitya club that had ceased to exist two years earlier. In the 2013/14 season, the club won in League II and entered League I. In the 2014/15 season, the club finished in fifth place in the Romanian championship, and received the right to play in the Europa League , but did not receive a UEFA license and ceded its right to the Botosani club.
In the 2015/16 season, “University” took 8th place, and in the 2016/17 season , 4th place, which ensured the club to play in the UEFA Europa League . In the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League 2017/18 , Universitata lost to Italian Milan 0-3 in the sum of two meetings.
