" U Can't Touch This " is a song by American rapper EMC Hammer , released as a single from his third studio album Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em on January 13, 1990 . He was able to rise to the first line of a number of charts around the world. The success of the single increased the popularity of the album ^[1] , which allowed it to become the first hip-hop album, which sold over 10 million copies ^[2] .

The song “U Can't Touch This” performed by EM Hammer is on the list of 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll ^[3] compiled by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame .
