Eugenios Lazaridis ( Greek Ευγένιος Λαζαρίδης ; born February 15, 1988 , Athens , Greece ) is a Greek professional boxer who performs in the heavy weight category . Silver medalist of the European Championship among students (2011) [2] in amateur. Among the professionals, the international champion of Germany according to BDB (2017–2018) and IBA Intercontinental Champion (2015–2016) in the heavyweight division.

Biography
Eugenios Lazaridis was born on February 15, 1988 in Athens ( Greece ).
Amateur career
As an amateur, Lazaridis spent 48 fights - of which 44 fights won and 4 lost [1] .
In 2011, he won a silver medal at the European Championship among students in Moscow in weight over 91 kg, losing in the final in points in a close fight (7-8) to Belarusian Jan Sudilovsky [2] .
In 2012, at the Strandzha Memorial Tournament in Sofia ( Bulgaria ) in the first round of the competition prematurely lost to the experienced Cuban Erislandi Savon , who eventually took 1st place in weight over 91 kg [3] . He also participated in 2012, but losing on points (7-12) to Estonian Caspar Waha, was unable to pass the European qualification at the 2012 London Olympics .
Professional career
In 2012-2013, he participated in the serial commercial boxing tournament Bigger's Better, and in the finals of two stages - in October 2012 (Bigger's Better 16) [4] and in March 2013 (Bigger's Better 20) [5] won victories prize win.
In May - June 2013 he was at a three-week training camp with the legendary coach Don Turner in USA. And after a training camp in North Carolina, he also began his career as a professional boxer - on June 14, 2013, by beating TKO in the 1st round of American boxer Brandon Bowens.
On September 26, 2014, Lazaridis fought with the Hungarian boxer Attila Zhirosh, whom Lazaridis defeated by technical knockout already in the 1st round. The fight was stopped after Attila Zhirosh knocked down three times [6] .
IBA Intercontinental Title Fight
On November 6, 2015, Lazaridis defeated the unbeaten German Avenue Boris Estenfelder (6-0-1) by unanimous decision (99-97, 99-95, 100-95 ) and won his first IBA Intercontinental heavyweight title [7] .
Fight with Ercan Teper
On October 24, 2017, Lazaridis controversially lost for the first time on points (score: 95-96) in a very rival battle to the experienced highly rated German Erkan Teper (17-2) [8] .
German International BDB Title Fight
On November 18, 2017, Lazaridis won by knockout in the 2nd round of experienced Georgian David Gorgiladze (14-6) and won the vacant international heavyweight title of Germany according to BDB.
Fight with Samuel Caje
On March 10, 2018, Lazaridis lost by knockout in the 5th round to the unbroken, highly rated French prospect by knockout Samuel Caje (10-0) [9] .
Sparring with Alexander Povetkin
In August 2019, Lazaridis was a sparing partner in the training camp of Russian Alexander Povetkin , helping him prepare for a fight with an ex-contender for the world title Huey Fury [10] .
