Mount Samokhval is located in the city of Abakan , on its southeast side.

On the mountain are mainly garden plots. There are over 10 gardening associations, the largest of which is the South-Gardening Non-Profit Partnership, located on the southern slope of the mountain.
On the eastern side, Mount Samokhval goes around the channel of the Yenisei River , which does not freeze in winter even in severe frosts.
A memorial complex was created on the mountain [1]
