Group History
The air group began its history with three pilots under the command of World War II ace Don Laubman. For the first time, the group performed on May 11, 1949 at the Rockleaf airbase. After that, she acquired six aircraft and began performing at an air show in Canada and the USA .
July 25, 1949 as a result of the disaster, team member Bob Kipp was killed.
In September 1950, the group was disbanded. However, a year later, the team was again restored, and on August 19, 1951, the group last performed at an air show in Detroit . Over the three years of its existence, the “Blue Devils” participated in 45 aviation operations in the United States and Canada [3] .
