Story

In the last days of World War II, the German teenager Thomas was thrown into the battle against the steadily advancing Soviet troops. In the dilapidated cities of the Third Reich, indescribable savagery and looting reigns everywhere; in the ongoing chaos, Thomas loses his first love, Melanie, and meets Astrid, who is determined to survive at all costs. Together they join the mass exodus of refugees rushing west.

However, in an unfortunate turn of fate, Thomas falls into the Russian hands, and all his traces are lost behind the Iron Curtain, which divided Europe for many years. Seventeen years later, now a graduate of an elite Soviet school, he was recruited by the KGB and sent to London to become part of a spy network that is under constant threat of exposure.
